Limited double vinyl LP pressing. Rosenrotis the fifth album by GermanNeue Deutsche HartebandRammstein, released in October 2005. The album includes six songs artistically omitted fromReise, Reise. The album's first title wasReise, Reise Volume Two, but on August 18, 2005, the album was announced asRosenrot. The cover art is nearly identical to the Japanese import ofReise, Reise. The image is a slightly altered photograph of the icebreakerUSSAtka, taken on March 13, 1960, atMcMurdo Station, Ross Ice Shelf, Antarctica. Rammstein formed in 1994 inBerlin. Throughout its existence, Rammstein's six-man lineup has remained unchanged-lead guitaristRichard Z. Kruspe, bassistOliver "Ollie" Riedel, drummerChristoph "Doom" Schneider, lead vocalistTill Lindemann, rhythm guitaristPaul H. Landers, and keyboardistChristian "Flake" Lorenz. The band helped to found a subgenre within Germanhard rockandmetalthat became known asNeue Deutsche Harte. The majority of their songs are inGerman, but they have also performed songs entirely or partially in other languages includingEnglish, Spanish, French, andRussian.
