Beneath it's stripped-down surface lies some of Coltrane's most direct and vital playing of the Atlantic years. Featuring his signature soprano sax and delving deeply into his blues sensibilities, this new mono version breakout LP will follow the Rhino High-Fidelity box set entitled John Coltrane: 1960-1964 where all lacquers are AAA cut directly from the mono tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180-gram vinyl by Optimal, with meticulous detailing on the album packaging that includes glossy covers and "tip-on" jackets.
